（June 3, 2014）
The General Insurance Association of Japan and the General Insurance Institute of Japan held the 24th session of the ISJ Advanced Course in Tokyo.
This session on "Strategy for Sustainable Growth of Non-Life Insurance Companies" was intended to have participants study operations of general insurance companies from a higher managerial point of view.
Twenty one participants from 12 Asian regions exchanged information and opinions on topics of mutual concern and studied better solutions for sustainable growth.
On the last day, participants held wrap-up discussions on "Customer centric product and service strategies", "Risk management for natural disasters", and "Climate change", based on what they learned from lectures and workshops over the two-week course. The active discussions, in which staff of GIAJ member companies also took part, helped participants deepen their understanding of the chosen topics through comparing their respective markets.
